Becoming a mom changes everything—your routine, your priorities, and, for me, my sense of style. After welcoming my second baby, I found myself reaching for whatever was easiest, forgetting the confidence and joy that fashion used to bring me. But with spring here, I’m ready for a fresh start—both in my wardrobe and in how I express myself. This season, I’m making it a priority to rediscover my personal style in a way that feels effortless, put-together, and, most importantly, functional for mom life. If you’ve ever felt stuck in a style rut post-baby, here’s what’s been helping me refresh my wardrobe while still keeping up with two little ones.
Before adding anything new, I took inventory of my closet. I let go of pieces that no longer fit my lifestyle and made space for items that make me feel confident and comfortable. I also created a mood board on Pinterest to get a sense of the styles I’m drawn to now—think chic neutrals, tailored basics, and a mix of high and low pieces that elevate everyday outfits.
As a mom, I need outfits that are easy to throw on but still make me feel put-together. I’m leaning into high-quality basics like structured blazers, cozy tees, wide-leg trousers, and polished sneakers. These pieces give me versatility while making my everyday mom-uniform feel intentional.
Chasing two little ones means comfort is key, but I refuse to let that mean frumpy. I’ve found that relaxed silhouettes, breathable fabrics, and layering pieces help me feel stylish without trying too hard. Matching sets, slip-on flats, and lightweight knit dresses have been my go-to.
Since my outfits are mostly composed of easy, neutral pieces, I love using accessories to make a statement. A chic belt, bold sunglasses, or a handbag instantly elevates a simple look without requiring extra effort. This has been my secret weapon for making mom-life outfits feel more intentional.
Most importantly, I’m reminding myself that style is supposed to be fun! Some days I’ll be in leggings and an oversized sweatshirt, and that’s okay. The goal isn’t perfection—it’s feeling like me again, in a way that fits this new season of life.
If you’re also rediscovering your style this spring, I’d love to know what’s helping you feel your best. Let’s embrace this new season with confidence, grace, and a wardrobe that makes us excited to get dressed!
